michael cordone iii (b. 1992, connecticut) creates quiet, observational photographs rooted in patience, curiosity, and a deep respect for the everyday. working in a documentary tradition, he seeks out fleeting moments and unassuming scenes, revealing the beauty and emotional weight that often go unnoticed in daily life. his images invite viewers to slow down and sit with the world as it is, rather than how we expect it to be.

he received a bs in mechanical engineering with a concentration in sustainable energy from the university of hartford (2014). michael approaches photography as a study of systems and connections. he is drawn to the way people move through environments and to the fragile relationship between nature and urban space. his work reflects a balance between analysis and intuition, structure and spontaneity, science and art.

michael has participated in exhibitions throughout the united states since 2025. he serves as chairperson of sierra club photo nyc, a photography group that builds community, supports nature conservation, and offers educational programming at the school of visual arts in manhattan. he lives and works in queens, new york, where he documents couples and events.
